Favorite Exercise: Power Cleans
Least Favorite: Lunge Jumps

“I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Illinois State University, and currently hold three fitness certifications, one of them being a Certified Personal Trainer from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). My training philosophy has always preached quality over quantity. The best workouts are not from how many reps you did, but rather how many reps you did correctly with good form and execution. I combine my experiences as a trainer, along with my knowledge of exercise physiology, to tailor programs that match the goals and abilities of those who work with me. Together we can begin the climb towards achieving your fitness goals today!”

Amy Aranda, Trainer

Favorite Exercise: Anything Involving Shoulders
Least Favorite: Running on a Treadmill

“My name is Amy Aranda and I am a mother, personal trainer, fitness instructor, figure competitor and coach, and a health coach. I began my journey to self-discovery and improvement in 2013 when I began life as a single mom. After joining the gym to relieve my stress and pain I began participating in 5K races and obstacle course races. Finishing the Hard Charge obstacle course race showed me I could do anything I set my mind to and lit a fire inside to accomplish more. I wanted to set goals and crush them. I am a 2 time 1st place winner of the NGA Heart of America Natural Classic Figure Competition., Nationally Certified Personal Trainer, Instructor of my own fitness classes, and Coach for figure and bikini competitors. My passion is showing women they are strong and capable of achieving any goal they choose.”

How do you see yourself at age 50? 60? 70 or older?  My philosophy is that it is NEVER too late to work towards being the healthiest, most independent YOU. I discovered exercise in my thirties after seeing a picture of myself at the heaviest weight I’d ever been in my life.  I changed my lifestyle and lost 87 pounds within six months, giving me the passion to help others achieve their wellness goals. Over the last fifteen years, my education, career, skills and experience have focused on the growing demand of OLDER ADULTS that need safe, effective exercise programs that can have a powerful impact on their longevity, independence, and quality of life!”

I am a School Psychologist by day, so you won’t typically see me at the gym during the school day.
