Very unlikely. Our past groups have been made up of a wide range of ages, body types, levels of fitness, and just about every other demographic you can think of. (This holds true for our gym as a whole as well.)
We made a chart of one group’s age break-down:
Here’s a breakdown of how participants in a previous group rated their level of fitness at the start of the program:
What we all have in common is a desire to improve our physical fitness and the quality of our lives.
CAN THE WORKOUTS BE MODIFIED IF I’VE GOT PROBLEMS WITH MY KNEE / HIP / BACK / ETC?
Check with your doctor before starting any exercise program. After you’ve gotten the go-ahead, our trainers can absolutely help you modify the exercises so you can strengthen any weak areas and avoid further injury.
I HAVEN’T EXERCISED IN A WHILE. WILL THE WORKOUTS BE TOO HARD FOR ME?
Any time you start a new program you can expect some achy muscles, but don’t worry. Our trainers are excellent at starting things off at a level that’s challenging for each individual, and then gradually increasing the intensity as fitness levels improve.

WHAT HAVE PREVIOUS ATTENDEES SAID ABOUT THE PROGRAM?
“The trainers are awesome, and seem very passionate about what they do! I am so happy I took the plunge and did the program!” ~Anesdra
“Thank you, thank you for offering this program. It is really helping me keep on track during a really hard time for me. ” ~Tanya
“I was eager to sign up for the 21 day program because I’ve seen the Team Trainings but never dared try them. I also make my kids eat healthy and then I turn around and eat junk. So my goal was to gain an overall healthier perspective for myself. I didn’t think I would lose a ton of weight but I had hoped to feel better in my clothes and my own skin. So far I have lost a couple pounds and my clothes do feel better. I also feel much stronger! In Step class today, I used a weight I have used for two years and it actually felt too light. It definitely felt good to eat better and exercise almost every day. Trying the program showed me I can change my habits and feel better about myself. I upgraded my membership and I’m excited to continue combing the Les Mills classes, the Team Training and a healthier diet.” –Angie
“I was in a rut, needed something to do and something to get me motivated! I saw an advertisement about the 21 day program at The Workout Company. After some research and a couple emails with the friendly staff, I figured this couldn’t hurt! The first couple days of getting up early were difficult, but it passed quickly when knowing that the outcome was well worth it. The instant outcomes – more energy and a sense of accomplishment. The food plan is easy to understand and follow with some preparation. The trainers are awesome! They will work with you to find out what level you are at – and also help push you to get you to that next level. The workouts vary which leaves you never getting bored with going in. I am half way through, and after meeting some great people and having a great time in different classes I want to continue on my journey and become a member!” –Gretchen
“In such a short time, I feel I have been able to implement healthy eating and exercise. The trainers have done such a great job of motivating and encouraging ALL of us along the way.” –Rachel
“If I could take away one thing from the 21 day program besides the fact that I’m in much better shape and feeling good, it’s that you all are such good people. From the trainers to the juice bar you all made me feel welcome and I actually enjoyed working out at 5AM.” —Matt
“This has been an eye-opening experience. I’ve noticed small, but very motivating, changes since I started. I thought the food plan would really be a challenge but with help from my hubby I’ve lost that craving for sweets and salt. I’m full on much smaller amounts of food. Everything is starting to fit better, I can bend over and tie my shoes without gasping for breath (because my belly isn’t getting in the way), I’ve got a lot more energy and eating as often as I do now, I’m rarely hungry which helps me make better choices too. I can also tell a real difference in my work outs. Side planks used to kill me…I would count to 30 so quickly I was probably only holding the pose for 15 seconds, if that. Now I count much slower and actually hold it for 30 seconds. My squats are stronger and lower. I can hold a plank for 40 seconds (before could hardly hold for 15)! I’m very excited to continue and see what the next adventure is!” —Laura
“Thank you for being that silent kick in the rear that I needed. They not only help you with the exercise, they provided an easy to follow nutrition plan too. Not your typical starvation plan — three healthy meals with three healthy snacks each day. On a busy work schedule folks may think it is hard to get it together, but it isn’t. In fact, I have grasped it so well that the normal, come home and watch tv has turned into preparing ahead of time, meals and snacks. ” -Patrick
“I ran into another participant from class at the doctor’s office and she said how she had missed me in class in the morning. This is why this works. It has become a group of friends and a workout family, helping each other to our goals.” -Grace
“I recently joined the 21-Day Challenge at The Workout Company and have loved every moment of it! The instructors are all wonderful. They take their time in explaining our workout exercises, mention things for us to watch for so we don’t injure ourselves, and keep a close eye on us during our workout – and they are very motivated through all of it. Every day is a different workout so you don’t get burned out and you have a surprise each time you go! The Team Training at GE Road is wonderful and I love the feel of the small gym ‘family’ atmosphere.” -Sarah
